Jay is a Managing Director in the Hong Kong office. He advises clients on complex capital markets transactions in Asia and the US, regulatory investigations as well as corporate positioning and reputational management issues. He has advised clients across a broad variety of sectors, with particular focus on TMT.
Recent assignment highlights include assisting Grab and PropertyGuru Group in its deSPAC transaction and US listing and assisting Monde Nissin Corporation in its historical IPO in the Philippines.
Jay began his career as a technology focused transaction lawyers in the Hong Kong office of two international law firms, where he advised clients on cross boarder M&A transactions in Asia, fundraising rounds, diverse commercial arrangements, often acting as the external general counsel.
Jay graduated with honors from the University of Toronto with a bachelor's degree in Economics, and a specialized international relations master's degree in Asia Pacific Studies. He has also obtained a Juris Doctor degree and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
